Acclimatization in Leh

Day 3:
Shey Palace
Roam the ruins of its former Palace which looms over the city, a contrasting backdrop to the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it on all sides. Take in the sight of the magnificent beauty of the valleys and rugged ranges that give Leh its fame.
Shanti Stupa
The Buddhist white-domed stupa occupies a hill overlooking stunning panoramic views of Leh Valley. It was enshrined by the Dalai Lama and built in an effort to resurrect Buddhism in India.
Day 4: Hemis Monastery
Hemis Monastery
The most revered landmark of the Ladkhi people, the ancient monastery gives insight into the Tibetan Buddhist way of life that permeates each facet of their culture. The paintings and sculptures that adorn the structure are rich in historical significance.
Kashimiri Markets
Explore the Kashimiri markets of the city at leisure where peddlers display wares of Pashmina and local produce from the region.
Day 5: Nubra Valley
Nubra Valley
Pass through the famous Khardung La Pass, the one of the highest motorable passes in the world towards Nubra Valley. The crossing is crusted in permafrost and meanders through beautiful artic desert surrounded by the dusty mountains on both sides. The parched barreness of the valley slowly disappear to reveal orchards and barley fields that conceal the ancient ruins of palaces and monasteries.
Day 6: Desert Safari
Hundar Camel Safari
Ride the Bactrian camel and traverse the sand dunes of the artic desert between Hundar and Diskit at a leisurely pace. The rugged terrain is streaked with flowing streams from the glaciers of the snow-capped mountains and the experience through this otherworldly landscape is very surreal.
Transfer (5 hours) to The Grand Dragon, Leh.
Day 7: Return to Singapore
Transfer (45mins) to Leh Airport.
